Honeymoon Croatia itinerary suggestion:

Day 1, ZAGREB - Arrival. Overnight in Zagreb.

Welcome to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and one of the oldest central European cities. Your guide will meet you at Zagreb Airport and transfer you to your hotel. After you check in we invite you to join your guide on the relaxing orientation walk through the center of Zagreb and enjoy your first evening in one of Zagreb’s many cafes and restaurants.

Day 2, EXPLORING ZAGREB and surroundings (VELIKI TABOR CASTLE). Overnight in Zagreb.

This morning we will take you to experience Zagreb and its surroundings. We'll reveal you the secrets of the medieval parts of Upper town (St. Mark's church, Stone gate, Lotrščak tower) and show you beautiful parks and squares of Lower town (Lenuci's horseshoe, theatre building, etc). We will also discover Zagorje region, a picturesque rural area where, in the medieval times, respectable gentlemen and nobles built their manors and castles in search of beauty and comfort. We will visit the fairy tale castle – Veliki Tabor, the most beautiful castle in whole Croatia. We are also going to have lunch with specialties of the local cuisine in one of Zagorje taverns. In late afternoon we are coming back to Zagreb.

Day 3, ZAGREB – PLITVICE LAKES - SPLIT. Overnight in Zadar.

After breakfast your journey today takes you to the most famous natural wonder of Croatia and this part of Europe – Plitvice Lakes national park. On the way to the park we'll stop in Rastoke miller village, unique example of traditional 17th century village architecture which once had more than 50 water mills built on a breathtaking waterfalls. Just 25 min further south we we'll start a comfortable hike along the sixteen beautiful and crystal-clear lakes with numerous cascades and waterfalls. After 4 hours easy walk we are continuing further south towards Croatian coast, the region known as Dalmatia. Before finishing the day in Split we stop in Trogir, an old Croatian town first inhabited by Greeks and Romans and famous for its Romanesque and gothic old core with St. Lawrence Cathedral. We arrive to Split in late afternoon/early evening.

Day 4, EXPLORING SPLIT. Overnight in Split.

Today your your guide will take you for a walk through the „most beautiful city in the world“, how Split (second largest Croatian city) if often called by its citizens. You’ll visit the Diocletian Palace in the heart of Split, built as a residential palace in 3rd century AD by the Roman Emperor Diocletian and a priceless monument included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Enjoy the heart of Split – the famous Split waterfront or Riva where you will feel the friendly and cozy atmosphere of this vibrant city or take a dip in crystal clear Adriatic sea on one of many beaches in Split.

Day 5, SPLIT – HVAR ISLAND. Overnight in Hvar.

This morning you are leaving Split on a 2 hour ferry ride sailing through “Split gate” between islands of Brač and Šolta in order to reach Hvar island. Once known as the spot where first Greek colonies on Adriatic took place in 4 cent. BC, bringing us olive trees and wine grapes to Dalmatia Hvar today is one of the most popular summer destinations on the Mediterranean and the sunniest island in Europe with more then 2800 sunshine hours annually. Once reaching Starigrad ferry port we transfer to Hvar town within 25 min ride. After checking in to your hotel we invite you to soak up the true island vibe on an orientation walk on Hvar riva, many island beaches, clubs and restaurants or to embark to Paklinski islands across from Hvar harbor with a local taxi boat (running frequently from the fisherman harbor).

Hvar town and the whole island offer a true Mediterranean experience, whether we talk about great restaurant scene, small wineries, stunning views, hiking or jeep safari options, small hidden beaches, lavender fields or island hopping excursions.

Day 6, HVAR ISLAND. Overnight in Hvar.

Today is reserved for exploring Hvar island and it’s beauties. We are taking you to Starigrad ager, an ancient Greek field dating to 4th century BC when people were getting the farming land by lottery. Curiosity is that local people now days still use the same parcels of land which were arranged 25 centuries ago. We stop in one of many local wineries for local wines tasting followed by the visit to one of small beaches on the southern slopes of the island.

Day 7, HVAR – BLUE CAVE BOAT EXCURSION - HVAR. Overnight in Hvar.

This unique day on the sea starts with the majestic Green and Blue caves and includes Vis and the Pakleni islands! We’ll begin by cruising between Hvar and the islets of Ravnik and Biševo. First we will visit the Green Cave where we will get a chance to swim inside and enjoy the emerald light show!. Then we’ll discover a picturesque hidden inlet called Stiniva, where you can enjoy a delicious swim or just relax and sun bathe. After Stiniva, it’s off to experience the world-renowned Blue Cave, whose ethereal silvery¬blue color is created by the sun as it bathes the inside of the cave through an opening in the roof and is reflected back by the sandy surface below. Widely regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful natural phenomena, this cave is a must¬see. Our trip continues to the legendary island of Vis. We will have an hour of free time to explore this charming seaside hamlet before we take off to enjoy the Paklinski Islands for lunch. Late afternoon we return back to Hvar.

Day 8, HVAR - STON – DUBROVNIK. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

After breakfast we are leaving Hvar. On our way to Dubrovnik, getting back to the main land, we will drive through Neretva valley and we will visit  town called Ston on the beginning of the Pelješac peninsula, known for the 3,5 miles long fortification complex dating from the 14th century, times when Dubrovnik and Venice had been rivaling naval forces on Meditterranean. Mali Ston and Ston area are known for great and fresh seafood especially oysters which are grown in the Mali Ston bay and black inc risotto (cuttle fish risotto) which is a regional must have. You will have the opportunity to try these local delicacies in a local tavern. We arrive to Dubrovnik and check into to our accommodation in late afternoon.

Day 9, EXPLORING DUBROVNIK. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

This whole day is reserved for exploring and enjoying in our Pearl of Adriatic – the old town Dubrovnik. The great George Bernard Shaw wrote: „Those who seek paradise on Earth must come to Dubrovnik" and he was as many others overjoyed by the beauty and rich history of this old town under the UNESCO protection. Its glorious walls, with their fortresses and bastions, offer a unique walk with view of the magical Elafiti islands. From the Onofrio fountain to the City bell tower, along its main street, Stradun and in many other small cobblestone streets, every step in this town will be an experience par excellence. In the afternoon, we invite you to collect more impressions of Dubrovnik and enjoy this beautiful city.

Day 10, DUBROVNIK – KORČULA – PELJEŠAC PENINSULA - DUBROVNIK. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Today's day trip is a throwback to the days of Marco Polo who was, apparently, born on Korčula island, today part of Croatian archipelago. Leaving Dubrovnik we are driving north along the scenic Dalmatian coast entering Pelješac peninsula after 45min of drive. Being the biggest peninsula in the country Pelješac is know after great positions for wine growning, especially Dingač and Postup wines.

Arriving to Orebić town we cross to Korčula town on a 20 min boat ride before starting to explore medievel city known as Marko Polo's birth place. His famous book „Il Millione“, once published, become the most printed book in the world after the Bible and Kuran at the time. Once getting back to Pelješac we stop in one of the best known family owned wineries, Matuško, for the winery tour and, of course, wine tasting. On the way back we take a scenic route driving through vineyards of the southern slopes of Pelješac. We return to Dubrovnik in early evening.

Day 11, DUBROVNIK – KOTOR – BUDVA. Overnight in Budva (Montenegro).

After breakfast and Dubrovnik city walk our journey takes us south into Montenegro, driving through scenic and dramatic Bay of Kotor. We'll pay the visit to Perast islet and learn about it's legend before stopping in town of Kotor. Kotor is one more UNESCO world heritage site and a true open air museum with its rich history. Later in the afternoon we reach Budva, exploring practically the whole coast of Montenegro. On our way we pass next to most famous Montenegrin island/resort Sveti Stefan.

Day 12, BUDVA – CETINJE - BUDVA. Overnight in Budva (Montenegro).

This morning is reserved for visiting old royal capital of Montenegro, Cetinje. Located only 30 min drive inland from the coast Cetinje offers a true introispective to proud Montenegrin history and culture. Learn about Montenegrin royal families and the fact that Montenegro never fell under Otoman rule in King Nicholas museum. Enjoy the coffee in one of many bars on royal square and get the feeling how genuine local life looks like in near by Njeguši village known after prosciutto and cheese products. On the way back to Budva try the adrenalin rush given by Budva paragliding adventure offering the views of the lifetime.

Day 13, BUDVA - DUBROVNIK Airport transfer. The end of the tour.

Today is the last day of our tour. Your guide will drive you to Dubrovnik Airport (1,5h) where you are expecting your flight back home.
